Vegas Here We Come

We are on our way! Yes, people we are going to Vegas! We leave in a couple of hours. And I am pumped! After our show last night, we are so ready for Vegas! We performed 2 shows last night. And the BBs performed 1 set. They didn't do more because they had just played in NC. But they are definitely ready too! The VIP show lasted until way into the wee hours of the morning. But it was a good show!

Today when we get to Vegas, we are going to be practicing. We have on stage rehearsals for a few hours. Then we are going to a big and fancy dinner with our 2 bosses. They are pumped up! So am I! I enjoy performing. And lately, it doesn't happen much! But dinner with them is always fun. We laugh, eat, and eventually find ourselves playing poker!

We are going to be in Vegas until November 10th. That means Halloween in Sin City. And boy Cole did not disappoint in the costume scene. Not at all! Besides the costumes she made for the shows, she made 2 sets of costumes for our Halloween shows. One night, we are going to be Barbies! How fun is that? I am ready! On Halloween, we are going to be HOT Vampires! It is going to be fun!

That's about all. There are 75 people going! I know! It is crazy. But it is the band. Some of them are taking their girlfriends or wives. Then you have us ladies and Lola. Some friends are meeting us. And Mr. Blue Eyes and his friends are going. We have our team, Manders, D, and Cole. There are a bunch of people going. But this is no way the largest group we have ever taken with us! We are flying on 2 private planes. I don't exactly know how we are splitting up. Then on the 3rd plane, it is the bands' instruments, our luggage, and anything else we need. Did I tell you, we ship trunks of clothes, shoes, makeup, etc. ahead of time? Yup! We have a lot of junk that we have to take. But it should be fun! ~Tabi

Tired and Packing

I'm completely exhausted! Ya I am! But I need to pack. We are going to be gone until November 10th! OMG! I can't believe how long this set of shows is going to be. I am a little nervous. We haven't really been too prepared this time around. I don't know why. But after tonight, I am scared for tomorrow. We are going to practice with Lola. Then we are doing a VIP performance. Super nervous!

Tuesday morning, we are leaving for Vegas! I am excited about going. But still worried. After we perform 2-3 times, I will be OK again. It is just getting over the nerves the first few times. Going through hair and makeup. Making sure we don't have any costume malfunctions. That sort of thing. Both Daddy Warbucks and GQ Man are coming to watch our VIP Show. They are our bosses. Just a little more to be worried about!

But I can't stress too much about that right now! I need to pack. I need to remember everything that I need to take. Because I always forget something! Thank God we send our costumes ahead of time. And the Cole is going to take what we need tomorrow. Because I have been known to forget some important things like that! ~Tabi

Friday Fill-ins

Finally Home

I finally got home. It is much warmer here! Yay! I am so glad!!! I have seen enough rain for a long while. All it did while we were in NC was rain. It was so cold out there. We all ended up buying hats, scarves, and gloves.

But it was a good time. I am glad that we went! We only practiced 2 times. But that was OK. It was like a bonding trip for all of us. We got much closer. I also tried to convince Daddy Warbucks to join us on twitter. But no deal yet. I am a little worried about our upcoming rehearsals though!!!

Daddy Warbucks and GQ are going to possibly attend our upcoming practices. I could also tell that Lola was ready to pick apart everything. We have had so much material to learn. And no time at all! With some of the girls getting sick, that really cut into our practice time.

This week is going to be murder. And it is going to be worse when Lola starts practicing with us. But it is almost time for us to go perform. We all need that kick in the butt! I just hope, that my butt stays in 1 piece. Only time will tell. ~Tabi

A Challenge

The guys challenged us girls to a pool tournament tonight. I don't think, that they thought, that we know how to play pool. I have to admit, we like to play when we go to Sin City! Lola is a pool shark!!! I think she could have a career in it if she chose to.

But the guys challenged us. I think that Mr. Blue Eyes there, wanted to challenge Lola. Or watch her play. Either way, we were all up for the challenge! One by one, we beat the guys. I don't think they could believe their eyes!!!

Lola spanked Mr. Blue Eyes. But he didn't mind. I caught him more than once checking her out! It was hysterical! When all was said and done Ladies 28-Guys 3! Yup, we spanked them! A few of the guys wanted to challenge us to something else. But couldn't figure out what. They thought about Poker. Then they remembered that Lola plays with the Mafia when we go to Sin City. Ya, we know the Mafia. And they like to play Poker. They have taught us all!

Instead, we have just been hanging out. It has been a lot of fun! Lola cooked a big BBQ spread. Mr. Blue Eyes helped out. He was the "Grill Man." The food was so good. It is a nice way to end out trip. It is still cold and rainy. But we are having such a good time! I really don't want to go home! ~Tabi

Jewelry Man

Tonight, I decided to help out backstage. I know Cole and Manders are a little overwhelmed. Lola has 5 complete costume and jewelry changes. I volunteered to help. I also think it will keep me away from the mechanical bull! It was fun to ride last night. But I do need a little rest from it!

There are so many people here tonight! It is crazy. But the band is incredible tonight!!! They are performing for a fundraiser. It is to help kids. Totally a good cause. Lola has a body guard. It is pretty funny. He has to guard the jewels that she gets to wear. They are beauties!

This guy is so serious. He won't crack a smile!!! I tried to crack some jokes. You know me!!! But he just won't pay any attention. He has to follow her everywhere. Her and the jewels. He carries what she is not wearing at the moment. He also knows the schedule for her costume changes. He hands me what we need as she is coming off the stage.

But he follows her and I until we get to her dressing room. Then he waits outside. He also followed her to an off stage bathroom. And stood right outside the door. What a job!!! But he is serious about it.

For me, tonight is a lot milder than last night. Last night, I just had a really good time. I had a couple of drinks. And took a few rides on the mechanical bull. By the way, if you have never tried one before, you should!!! It is so much fun!!!

I should get back to paying attention. Lola has a costume change coming up. Manders is in charge of her hair and makeup. Cole deals with the clothes and shoes. I do the jewelry. And there are 5 costume changes. We have 2 minutes to get it all done!!! Craziness!!! ~Tabi

Being a VIP

It is hilarious! Last night we got the VIP treatment. The group of us went out to dinner. The BBs and Lola had a big show. They were off with their boss working. And prepping for their show.

Daddy Warbucks (our boss) took all us girls out to dinner. We had a great time!!! I have a feeling that if we had not been VIPs, we would have been thrown out! Because we were a little loud. But we were enjoying ourselves. Laughing and joking around! And it was a big group! The food was so good! If I lived in the South, I would be 200lbs!!! No lie!!!

After dinner, we made our way to the show. It was pouring. It has been since we got here! But the rain and the cold are not stopping us! Daddy Warbucks is just hilarious!!! He made the car practically park on the door. We had the VIP treatment there as well. Cole told us that she could get used to it. To be honest, so could I!

The show was amazing! But the BBs are always amazing! Our boss, he is IN LOVE with Lola. It was hysterical to watch him get all hot and heavy for her. She sang a lot of really romantic music. Daddy Warbucks was about to jump out of his seat. Lola just doesn't get that she has this effect on people. You should have seen her boss. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he is also totally into her!!!

Right now, we are on our way to do some shopping. I am anxious to get to MAC. But there are so many shops that we want to get to! We have been talking to the locals. They pointed us in the right direction. To all the cute boutiques! I hope I find some cute clothes!!! Lola really should think about moving out here!!! I would visit her a few times a year!!! ~Tabi

Going to NC

We are on our way to North Carolina. I still don't completely understand why. But I'm not going to question it. The girls and I got to come. Because we need to practice with Lola. Our Vegas shows are just around the corner! But she is performing this week with the BBs. Our boss is flying us all to NC to try and squeeze some rehearsals in!!!

When we are not rehearsing, we are going to enjoy the South. And the BBs and Lola performing. I hear they are performing in one of the best clubs in the area. I am very excited about it! The band has a ton of big shows every night!!! ~Tabi

YouTube Addict Here

I think I have become a YouTube addict!!! I can't sleep. Well, OK. Let's be honest. I slept 3 hours. Because I was watching YouTube videos. I think I am going to be paying the price today! I have to get ready for work right now. And all I can think of, is crawling back into bed and going back to sleep! I need to walk away from the computer. Get some sleep. Go to work. Then maybe, I will let myself watch some more videos. ~Tabi

Cinderella

Yup, I want to watch Cinderella. It is my favorite movies of all time! No lie! When I was little, I went through 3 VHS tapes of Cinderella. Because I watched it all the time. Cinderella was always my favorite character. Out of all the characters out there.

As a kid, we went to Disneyland. I about died when I saw Cinderella. And I still think about that day. You know, some things are just engraved in your memory forever! Meeting Cinderella is one of those memories.

Lately, I have not been having much luck. Or much fun in life. Tonight, I really want to watch Cinderella. But I have no clue where it is!!! I have searched and searched. But I can't find it! I just might have to go buy another DVD. I wonder if Wally World has it... ~Tabi

Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy is one of my favorite shows!!! I'm glad that it is back. And tonight, did not disappoint. I thought that I would have to miss it. We have been practicing for our Vegas shows. But our rehearsal got cancelled tonight. I was glued to the TV!!!

Thatcher returned. In need of a liver transplant. I was shocked when Meredith decided to be the donor. She paced and paced. In the end, she did it for Lexie. I'm kinda bummed that Ellen Pompeo's character is going to be absent until she returns from her maternity leave. She is definitely my favorite character!

Cristina's character cracked me up! I just had to laugh at her surgery. But she is one of the most important characters in this show. She just makes the show. I am already so full of Izzy. Honestly, I wouldn't miss her if she was gone.

For a while there, this show was a disappointment. I think with the writer's strike and without Isaiah Washington, the show got a bit boring. I'm glad to see it back. And at the level that it is at. I can't wait until next week! ~Tabi

I did it again. Well, I didn't. Lola did. She found another great YouTube Guru. And watched I don't know how many of her videos. Then she told me about Onna. I watched a couple, then they were no more! Although, xXxOnnaxXx did recently delete all her videos. She is now posting new ones. I can appreciate the need to clean out the old and start fresh. Believe me. I'm working on that! Here is a quick hair tutorial...

I really like this look! Heck, I can go out on a limb and say it, I LOVE this look! Manders recently did something like this for Lola. They working a photo shoot, for an upcoming gig in NC. Was totally hot and rocking! But I had no idea that I could pull it off. Until now! I found Onna's channel.

Glintzy Sigma Brush Giveaway

So you know me. I am all into YouTube. I watch videos all the time! Well, when I am not working. But you know what I mean. I am a YouTube addict!

I can barely move because we have been rehearsing like crazy. Every single muscle in my body hurts! And badly. When I am not at rehearsal, I am dying in bed. With my laptop! That means I am watching a ton and a half of YouTube videos. Like anyone thinks that is a good enough reason for me to watch hours of YouTube!!!

But glintzy, or Aimee, is another one of those gurus that I like to watch. Aimee does lots of makeup videos. And she has recently started fashion of the day videos. My favorites are her thrift shopping hauls. But Aimee also hosts lots of contests! She is now hosting a big Sigma Brush giveaway! There are 7 big prizes...

I have seen, I don't know how many videos on Sigma brushes. I can't lie, I want some! Real bad!!! But you know, bills get in the way. I have these brushes on my wishlist though! I wish I could enter for the entire set. But you know, I don't make videos. But I am going to enter for set #3. I think I would get the best use out of those. Maybe I can buy a couple of the face brushes later.

I have found another YouTuber that I really enjoy, xxglamxglamxx, or Kristin. She does makeup. Kristin is an army wife. Living in Germany. She is on twitter and MySpace. Has another YouTube channel for army wives, fiances, and girlfriends. Kristen is just one of the sweetest people. Here is one of her makeup videos...

I'm Dying!!!

OMG!!! I am dying!!! Practice is kicking my butt!!! OK, maybe more like Will and Phil are kicking my butt. The 6 of us, we thought we were in shape. Not a damn chance! The choreographer won't be at rehearsal until Lola comes. At least that's what I think. Things will get worse then!!!

But we are rehearsing 6 hours a day. Trying to get ready for Vegas baby!!! Daddy Warbucks is supposed to come see us before Lola comes to rehearse with us. We have to get our butts together! All of us are in good shape. But we honestly haven't danced like this, since the end of May. When we were preparing for Europe. When that got postponed, we all just stopped practicing.

I workout at least 5 times a week. And tough workouts. But this dancing is very different. Even if you don't do it for a day, you can feel it. Right now, I am so sore. I can barely move. You should see us trying to stretch. Will and Phil don't really care. They don't take excuses. But I know why. I can't blame them.

Once Lola starts coming to rehearsal, we are almost ready to perform. And she doesn't take crap from us. Which is good. It makes our show better. Daddy Warbucks is just as bad. So is the G-ster!!! And once Lola comes, we will be running the routines full out every time. With full hair and makeup. Then we run the entire show full out, 3-4 times a night!!!

But I need some help!!! My muscles hurt so bad. I need to go soak in the tub for an hour. And schedule a massage. Because I feel like my legs are going to explode. I can barely move my arms even with my shoulders. You should see us practicing. We are all in pain. But when we get our paychecks, it will all be worth it!!! ~Tabi

Wen Hair Care System

You have to have seen the infomercial for the Wen Hair Care System. The one that has Jennie Garth and Melissa Gilbert. The shampoo that doesn't suds up. But cleans your hair gently!

I have wanted to try this for a while. It looks like a good idea. But I don't know. Not too bad in price. You get 5 products for $30. I went to their website. And it doesn't look that bad. I have probably seen the infomercial 100 times. And I just want to try it.

Have you tried it? I think I will finally order it next payday. I want to see how a shampoo works without suds. And how I don't need a conditioner with this stuff! ~Tabi

Fair Day

I had a blast this weekend! It was just one of those really good weekends! Yesterday, the girls and I went to the State Fair. It felt like when we were in high school and would have a "Fair Day!" Do you remember those? You would eat, ride all the rides, and come home with those silly roses in a million different colors!

Other than that rude lady at the "My Mineral Glow" booth, we had a blast! Ya, seriously, if you are trying to sell makeup like that, and build your business, have a better attitude. There were 8-10 of us wanting to buy some eyeshadows. And that woman gave us such an attitude. None of us bought anything. I can't believe she would rather talk to some young tweens, maybe 13 yrs old, than to sell us products!!! I checked out their website. And I thought about placing an order today. Because I really wanted to try their products. But why should I give them business after they treated us with such attitude and disrespect!!!

Wow, that felt good to get that off my chest! But the girls and I really did have a good time. We eat so much food. I can't believe it! We got to the fair when it opened. We had breakfast burritos. And walked around the exhibits. Trying everything out. We got antelope antlers at the wilderness place, and talked politics with these nice old ladies from the GOP. Every time we saw food, we had to eat! It was almost ridiculous! But the food was so good that I couldn't resist!!!

After lunch, turkey legs and corn on the cob, we went to the kiddie section. Oh ya, we played with the animals. They had a petting zoo. Had so much fun! Then we played the games. They had an apple picking game. Annie and I tied for the win!!! And I bought a bunch of junk!!! You know the stuff you loved as a kid, Hello Kitty Stationary, boxes, and just girly stuff. We finished our craziness with the duck races. My duck ran the wrong way!!! We came in last.

We spent a good couple of hours shopping. That's when we ran into the ladies from "My Mineral Glow." I was so disappointed. But I bought other stuff. They had a stand with Avon and another with Mary Kay. So I got my makeup on!!! Came home with a big bag of makeup. I did buy a few pairs of earrings from various vendors, and a purse!!! I am so in love with it!!! Something that I would not normally buy, but LOVE!!!

For dinner, we went to the Spanish Village. Ate big Mexican plates and listened to good music. Annie and Mari went to the Indian Village and bought some fried bread. How about 10 of them??? We all shared it with a bunch of sweets from the Spanish Village. Things like mini eclairs, chocolate strawberries, and chocolate bananas!

When it got dark, we headed to the Midway. Baby, we rode just about every ride! Had so much fun! And a nice man won me a big bear. He was a nice guy. Just won me my bear and that was all we saw of him. What can I say??? I seem to have that effect on men!!! Before we left, near closing time, we stopped for berry sundaes. So delish!!! I am still dreaming of them!!! We honestly had a blast!!! I am so glad we all got to go together!!! ~Tabi

Good TV

OK, so I have to admit, I think Wednesdays are going to be my new favorite day of the week!!! Why??? Because of the TV on Wednesday nights!!!

First there is Glee on FOX. OMG!!! This show is hilarious! It is the perfect blend of musical, high school drama, and adult sexual tension. The story lines are hilarious. And the music just leaves me dancing and singing every single time! You have to watch it! It reminds me of my high school days!!!




Then there is ABC's Eastwick. Lola told me about the show. She saw the previews for the show last week or something. But I immediately knew when she started talking about it, that it was going to be that perfect show. I was so into Lipstick Jungle, then NBC took it off the air. I felt like the show was never brought to a close and I was so mad!

But Eastwick, it is probably going to be my new favorite show! I love the various characters. The story lines are good. I LOVE the sets. I know, I look at the weird stuff. But I like this show. A lot! This is the type of show that I can see my friends and I talking about over drinks. Or having a girls' night in to have dinner and watch this!



If you are looking for some good TV, try one of these new shows. There is something for everyone! I still can't get the "Mother Nature's Scenes" out of my head. And I am just dying for next week's episodes to come out! ~Tabi

PMS-ing

I totally am!!! I can't lie. It's not a bad thing. Except I am eating everything under the damn sun and sky! Especially not good, because I work at the mall.

Today, I wore a dress. Good thing. Because the minute that Cinnabon opened, I was there!!! I had already been to Starbucks. I ate at Panda Express for lunch. A 3 item combo! With egg rolls on the side. And then had Dairy Queen!!! An Orange Julius and a chocolate dipped cone. The large one!!! OMG!!!

When I left work, I stopped by Walgreens and bought a crap load of candy! All chocolate of course! And 4 containers of Ben and Jerry's. My boyfriends!!! I also bought a large pizza, wings, and breadsticks from Pizza Hut.

Damn girl!!! I know!!! But I have been on this eating binge. I noticed over the summer that I am eating like this right before my period. Then I have no appetite during my period. What the hell is wrong with me??? I think it is because I am not working out as much as I used to! I haven't gained weight. But that's because I eat like a pig for a few days. Then I have no appetite for another week!

Ugh! I am so annoyed with myself! I am on the sugar highs and lows, crashing like a mad woman, and sleeping for hours. My sleep pattern is also all messed up too!!! And I'm addicted to YouTube videos! It's a good thing that I am drinking water. That's the only thing that I am doing right. I drink almost a gallon of water a day. The rest, I need to fix! ~Tabi

In case you are ever bored, I want you to know that there are great channels to watch on YouTube. Rockybabes, or Annie, is one of my favorites!!! Her channel has videos about her adventures in the UK, makeup, cooking, her husband Martyn, and their dog Rocky! Annie is just amazing!!! Here is one of her cooking videos...





Doesn't that look yummy??? And you say, Tabi how did you find her? Why do like watching Annie's videos? Well, a few years ago, I was performing almost every weekend with a group of friends. Lola was the singer, and there were 6 more of us that danced. We traveled all the time!!!

And Lola is a bit of an insomniac. She got hooked on watching YouTube videos. She especially liked watching some of the channels that had people with heavy accents. They seemed to help her sleep. Especially the Brits!!! She really liked some of these channels just because she liked them. And at night she would play their videos to get sleepy. That is how I found Rockybabes1234. One night Lola was watching a video of hers, and I got hooked!!!

But I like Annie because she is real. She not on overdone YouTube Guru. Being fake and trying to push the free product of the week. Instead, Annie is a real woman!!! She shares her life with us. I enjoy going on her little shopping trips, hearing about her life, seeing her home. I too, like her accent. And cute little Rocky!!! But Annie's channel is just one of those fun ones!!! ~Tabi

East Village

I know, that picture sucks!!! But this nail polish is my new favorite color!!! I went to pick up a prescription for my grandma earlier today. And while I waited, well I wondered over to the makeup aisle. Come on, like you don't do that at Walgreens too!

I saw the NYC-In a New York in a Minute nail polish. It is their fast drying formula. I think it is fairly new. There were a wide range of colors. Too bad that the colors I wanted, were not in stock! I really wanted this deep purple called Chinatown. Or the nudish pink called Mulberry Street. But they were not in stock.

Instead, I found East Village. A deep peacock color. A lot deeper than this picture from their website. But for under $2, it was a steal!!! I want to try more. It dried fast. And was a good formulation. You know, some drugstore nail polish has a weird texture. But I liked this one. 2 coats and I am dancing with happiness!!! I am already plotting a different route to work tomorrow just to go to a different Walgreens!!! ~Tabi

Being a Couch Potato

I haven't done anything real productive today. Actually, I have been a couch potato for about 2 weeks now! No lie!!! Today was the pinnacle for me. I watched YouTube videos all day long!!! And when a girl called in to work for the 4th time in a week, with no excuse, I fired her. Because that is not how we roll at our store. And I will not be known as the "Easy Manager." No sir, no mam!!! We go to work when we are supposed to. And we are bums when we don't have to.

But after all these years of watching YouTube videos, I finally signed up for an account!!! It should make my viewing a lot easier! Because until this time, I have had to search for my favorite channels every single time. It still does not excuse my laziness today. And the fact that I have not done a darn productive thing all day long! OK, I went to the gym. But that was it.

I just sat and watched YouTube videos. Then I took a break to watch General Hospital on TV. And to go out and pick up takeout food. And to twitter. But that was it. Until I decided to blog. I am lame. I know it!!! I long for the days when we used to perform. And traveled every weekend. When I was not a couch potato!!! Daddy Warbucks and Lols...please help a girl out!!! ~Tabi

Girls' Night Out

My friends and I used to do this weekly. On Friday nights we would meet at Gardunos. Lola would be there to play in the mariachi. After she left the group, she would just meet us too! But we would all meet for Happy Hour. Honestly, most of us didn't drink. Or only had 1 margarita. But we would sit and talk. Of course we ate!!! We were at Gardunos! And we enjoyed the mariachi. Probably a little too much!!!

Especially so when that cutie worked there. I don't know his name. But damn, he was easy on the eyes. I think I just sounded like a guy there. :S But he was really good looking. With a cute booty!!! And he had the hots for Lola. Major H-O-T-S!!!

Once, we were all there, except Lola. But her parents were sitting at a table. He was just looking around for her. All of a sudden, in she came. After working at the hospital. Still in her scrubs, she trotted over to her parents' table. He could not take his eyes off of her. Was all fidgety. Totally reminded me of a 13 yr old boy who was in love with a high school cheerleader! Funny thing, she was a cheerleader in high school.

But he was always that way. Even at Charritos. But he never had the huevos to act on it. Poor guy!!! I don't even know what happened to him. And when Lola moved back, out of town, the rest of us still would go to Gardunos. We would take pictures of his butt and text them to Lols. Why I don't know! Because she never believed us in the first place! But he really did like her!!!

I got so off the subject there. But tonight we all met for dinner. It was just like the good old days. But our dear friend, Lola wasn't there. She is off working. Saving the country from Swine Flu!!! But a bunch of us went out. And we had so much fun!!! Ate way too much food!!! Finally we all caught up on each other's lives. Life is good!!! We just missed Lols and her, "Seriously? Seriously! SERIOUSLY!!!" We did miss that. And that cute mariachi guy and his butt!!!

Because in our group of friends, we have a slightly weird obsession with butts. And cute mariachis. And we all missed Lols to the ends of the earth! ~Tabi

Never Forget

Today is 9/11. I can't believe that it has been 8 years! That was a day that forever changed all of our lives. Whether we lost a family member or friend that day, we will always remember. Today, I pray for all of the souls that were lost on 9/11. All the souls that were lost since 9/11, because they were fighting for our safety and rights. Defending our freedom. That was a difficult day that changed us. But it is a day that I can't forget. ~Tabi

Screwed Up Girl Math

Do you do girl math? I do! The kind were if you save $20 on clothes, then you can go and buy $20 worth of makeup. Because in your head, it works out. You haven't spent more than you planned to in the first place. Ya, I know that it sounds stupid. But that is "Girl Math."

I do it with food too. Like if I cook at home, I allow myself to eat more. Tacos for example. If I make them at home, I feel like they are healthier. Then I eat more. Because I allow myself the same number of calories. Are you following me??? Or have I completely lost you???

Girl math is plaguing my workout/eating situation though. It is the only place were it doesn't make complete sense. Even to me!!! I think it is becoming an issue. Like tonight. I had an intense 2 hr workout. The kind that leaves you weak and barely walking. I come home, take a shower, and get me some chocolate ice cream. Ya, a bowl with 2 scoops, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries. Because using "Girl Math" I worked out before. I had earned it.

It doesn't make sense to me either!!! It's just what I do. Sit in my pjs and eat ice cream, after I workout. I think I need some help. I need someone to tell me that my "Girl Math" is wrong. hehe ~Tabi

Crazy Weekend!!!

Ya, it really was. That stupid blind date was not the best way to start my weekend off. But you know how that goes. You can never tell until you are knee deep in shit. But I am still hopeful.

My neighbor seems to be slightly pissed at me. But you know what, I can't help what happened. I am just a girl. A girl that wanted to have a semi decent date. That is all I was asking for. The way it ended, no way was my fault. So there!!!

Saturday, I did spend the day at home. I just vegged out. Ate lots of ice cream and pizza. I actually had pizza delivered twice!!! Until the girls called and got me off my butt! I met them at MAC. Sad to say, I only bought 1 lipgloss. I just wasn't in the mood to shop. And I am one of those people that have to be in the mood. But we did eat at the Macaroni Grill!!!

Sunday we went to the Wine Fest!!! Did we ever have fun!!! It wasn't just about drinking. It was about my friends. We just hungout together. Laughed about dumb stuff. Ate tons of food! And eventually tasted some good vino!!! I hear some of them went back today. I didn't.

Today, I was in the mood to shop!!! Called up my gal Annie. And did we ever shop! It was more of a quantity kind of a day. We went to Target, Forever 21, Claire's, Walgreen's, Payless, CVS, and Melrose. Cheap and cheerful was our motto. I did however buy a few things at Dillard's. At the MAC counter!!! The crazy weekend was good. It ended with dinner at Zio's and now I'm home. ~Tabi

I Was Hopeful

Really I was. What else can you ask for? As the evening got closer, I got more excited about my Blind date. Feelingpretty wonderful in my new dress!! But before the date could begin, it was already all down hill. And fast!!

First of all, he was 45 minutes late. With no call!! Ya, I would have liked that. But nothing. I was giving him 5 minutes, then I was going to change into my sweats and eat some pizza. I was actually in the middle of ordering my pizza when the doorbell rang.

It was my date. He didn't look bad. Smelled nice. But the guy's breath left so much to be desired. So much!! At the restaurant, he was just so uncomfortable. Which sucked because it is one of my favorite restaurants!! The convo was worse than a visit to the gyno!! So uncomfortable!! I tried. I even tried to talk about sports. Something that I don't know much about. It wasn't working.

He had a few drinks. And when I suggested that I drive us back, he had a fit!! See my date is staying with his cousin. aka My neighbor. I really didn't want him to drive. But what the hell was I supposed to do?? It wasn't that far and he only had 2 drinks.

On the middle of the freeway, his car broke down. In the flipping dark, the car just died out. We were in the middle of a construction zone too!! Cars zooming all over the place!! I was not having this. The guy was pissed. I was not going to wait there all night. Especially with someone that was beginning to loose it! I called Nico and Jelly. They live close to where we were stranded.

My date was not happy at all. But at this point, I didn't give a crap! I just wanted to get home. And away from him!! Nics was pissed about my date's attitude. So was I!! Nico was able to tow my dates car back to my neighbor's house. My date promptly went into the house. I was kinda happy about that!!

After thanking Nico and Jelly, I went into my house. Ran a hot bath. Lit some candles and unwound for a bit. After my bath, I enjoyed some Ben & Jerry's in my PJs. Still 2 of my favorite guys!! Then off to dreamland for me. I was hoping for a semi good date. Instead, it was a disaster!! I hope he doesn't call me!! How do I face my neighbor now?? ~Tabi

Blogs, Twitter, and Blind Dates

I joined my friends. I think we have all been on some mission to get a blog over the last couple of days. We are just finding it harder and harder to stay connected. More and more of us are moving farther and farther away. And let's be honest, we all wanted to copy Littlebit's too cool for words blog. At least we can all be inspired!!

I also joined twitter. That my friends, may just be my new hobby!! Can I say that about an online community? I think I just did!! But it is true. I like that it is short and to the point. that it doesn't require too much thought. And it is just spontaneous blah blahs.

That has been my Friday so far. Signing up for things. And trying to decide on a nifty little layout. I was completely excited to see that my blog and twitter pages match!! Now, I think I am just being corny. But that is what you get here. At my blog!

The bad news about today, is I have a blind date tonight!! Why did I agree on a Friday? Fridays are supposed to be good days. Days to relax and be excited for the weekend. Not to have to stress over some date. But on of my neighbors is setting me up. Tonight!!

To make it more exciting, I went shopping last night. I bought a new dress, shoes, and some earrings. The dress is my favorite!! A light blush pink dress. About knee length. See, I am excited about this date. I figure if I get excited about my clothes, than I will get excited about the date.

I feel like an idiot though. I forgot about the date. 2 hours ago, I was calling my friends to set up a Girls' Dinner. That obviously hit a snag when I called my neighbor. She reminded me of my date. I had to cancel on my girls!! Then I went for a mani-perdi to relax. Now, I am feeling better about tonight! ~Tabi
